The problem is that EVGA's flow control software is crap. I can sort of control the fans curve, but the 100% fan speed is fixed at 60°C, which the R9 spikes at all the time, and this cooler's fans are the loudest thing ever at 100% which translates to 2400RPM if I'm not mistaken.

Jcmthekid When will it be updated to work with first gen ryzen X series processors. My 1700x always reads 20c higher than it really is and messes with the fan profile. flow control and ryzen master showing the difference. The evga flow control software is ok but nothing special and the device works perfectly well without it in conjunction with good motherboard controls. The fans are poor, they are quite noisy at max speed and the "unique" design seems to lead to a lot of spill over air at the sides, on removal you can feel how cheaply made they actually are. It's just EVGA's software being really bad. I had the same issue even though the cooler worked fine. In the end, I just programmed my cooler through BIOS instead and it's been fine. Used it on both an ASUS Crosshair VII Hero and MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon. Same problems.
